There are 3 basic models of a Cloud:

1) A private cloud is a set of computing resources that is dedicated to an organization, usually on-premises.
2) A hosted private cloud has a dedicated infrastructure that’s hosted by a third-party but is inaccessible to other customers.
3) A public cloud involves computing resources hosted externally but shared with other organizations and dynamically provisioned and billed on a utility basis – pay for what you use as you use it.

What are some of the benefits of a Cloud?

1) Higher Productivity Chances are, your hardware is more than you really need.  Cloud gives you the ability to access a portion of one of 85Under’s cloud servers and basically only pay for what you use – nothing more, nothing less.
2) Better user experience. Driving to work is so last year.  With cloud communication tech, you can provide your users a place to work wherever they are – whether they’re at home, at the workplace or on the road.  All with consistent software and tools so there’s no learning curve.
3) React more quickly and efficiently to new business requirements.  If you’ve ever been the victim of a slowed (or even halted) work environment because of a software update or upgrade, you’ll know power of this.  When 85Under manages your cloud server, leave that stuff to us – we’ll get you up-to-date for all your users in far less time than it would take to bring a score of desktops up to speed.

Backups

Online Backups

Many have discovered the hard way that implementing a reliable offsite backup program is critical for the health and stability of their business. Failing to have a consistent backup plan is like paying your insurance premium only when you feel like it: there’s no assurance that the support will be there when you need it the most. read more

For the latest answers on how our backup system works, read our Backups FAQ document.

85Under offers many solutions for ensuring that your important data is preserved in the event of a disaster, whether it’s natural or internal network failure. Even better, we will store your data in a location that is disaster proof: 85 Feet Underground.

Our backup options are varied to fit your needs and budget. Some solutions involve only a small software application that schedules and performs your backups, while others involve hardware to move significant amounts of data at the best possible speed and cost.

Because costs are based on the amount of storage in use, we suggest that you only backup your critical data, not data that is easily replaceable. We also have pricing options depending on how much help you might need to monitor and administer the system.

Please contact us to tell us about your unique needs. We would be happy to discuss solutions to resolve those issues.

Perhaps you have another business critical application that you would like us to host. Give us a call and we will help to make your wish a reality.

Intrusion Prevention Service

Like Virus and Spam filtering, Intrusion Prevention is an extremely valuable tool to protect your data and your connectivity. Our Software as a service offerings include Intrusion Prevention services by TippingPoint Technologies. Our Leased Space, Servers and Virtual servers have optional Intrusion Prevention.

The TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) delivers the most powerful network protection in the world. The TippingPoint IPS is an in-line device that is inserted seamlessly and transparently into the network. As packets pass through the IPS, they are fully inspected to determine whether they are legitimate or malicious. This instantaneous form of protection is the most effective means of preventing attacks from ever reaching their targets.
